... highlight for me was at Tower Bridge where we saw the field of red poppies in the dry moat of the tower in remembrance of the war, it's a four year project apparently and where the Queen had been on her way to, when we saw her earlier in the day. Then we joined the busy peak hour traffic and headed over the bridge. Courtney was behind me and in front of Grant and she got the wobbles halfway over, lost her shoe, which Grant retrieved for her. We woke today to pouring rain which looked like a day ruined. Fortunately the rain cleared and we made our way to the underground to see if we could master it and find our way to Oxford Circus station. ... go otherwise I was going to be stood in the que for hours! So I headed off, same route as yesterday and got to the London eye. It was £21 not too bad, considering is paid $30 in Singapore for their one. Only waited about 20mins to get on, which was good. ... where the needle & sphinx were actually damaged during the bombing of London in WWII . We then walked over the Thames, took some photos of The Eye. Big Ben & the Houses of Parliament & walked back again. ( interesting photo on the way back of a tree that has decided to grow on the train bridge!!)
