... but it is a faster way to get to places and they ended up in Chinatown while also visiting quite a few temples around that area.
Since then, not much has happened... except that Roman must has spent 3 hours trying to get our clothes cleaned. After he washed them in a machine for cheap, he had difficulty finding a proper dryer while using the few words of Thai he has learnt “I must have talked to 100 people for this today!”...in fact, yesterday, he was asking ...
One last day...
... quite sad that it was such a challenge for two allegedly intelligent adults!! 6am pick up for our flight from Hanoi to Bangkok so got an early night...can't believe my Vietnam journey is over, and what a journey it has been, I have had the most amazing time and can't thank everyone who has made it so special enough...you know who you are and I'm looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible again soon! Next stop...Melbourne, via Bangkok and Sydney! ...
Re-adapting to be in a big city

One day we spent on the Chatuchak weekend market. We were amazed by it. You can find everything there; really everything from recuerdos to decoration stuff, food, clothes and pets – all kind! Thessa was delighted. At the end of that hard day we had some beers and appreciated all crowds, people were happy, smiling and so were we. We witnessed a hippy arts atmosphere happening in a Sunday late afternoon.

Bangkok, with the bang bang bang bang bang..!
Whatever part of my brain thought ''yes, let's wear jeans and a cardie on the plane to Bangkok, where the temperatures are 30 plus and I have a human-sized backpack to carry'' was a bad bad part!! As I made my way to my hostel, I genuinely worried that I might spontaneously combust, it was soooooooooo hot! But luckily, as soon as I checked in at the hostel I found a bunch of people heading out for drinks - best way to cool down ...
Long stressful shitty day.
... I was. I pulled up at some lights and asked but nobody spoke any English. A girl on scooter-taxi pointed when I said Sukhumvit so I headed that way. I saw signs to the airport and it made sense so I carried on. Eventually I saw a mall I had been to before so I turned off and headed to where i thought the hotel was. Using guesswork I found the overhead railway line which led directly back. I followed it a few hundred metres and got back to the hotel with only a few miles left in ...
