... our last day we got a local taxi driver to take us down the road to Negril, another town on the west of the country. There is a great beach there (7-mile beach) and some cliffs with the most amazing turquoise water crashing beneath.
To sum it up, Mobay served its purpose perfectly: gave us a chance to catch up with Craig, do some swimming, catch a tan, drink some beers but most of all just take it easy and relax and have a holiday form our holiday!

... directly on the sand and lets you experience true barefoot dining. Great place to eat if you don't feel like getting all dressed up. Barefoot and bathing suits w/cover ups are just fine.
The Cricketer's Pint
English pub with traditional pub cuisine. This place just opened the end of 2008. I have to say it is amazing. The food and atmosphere are wonderful. Fantastic new addition to this resort.

... the fact that bacteria used to rule the world. Think dinosaurs were the most successful species with their 200 million year run of the earth, or maybe (chuckle) humans? Think again. The explosion of multi-cell life as we know it occurred only some seven hundred million years ago. Bacteria have been around at least three billion, ever since Earth cooled down below the boiling point. The amazing thing is not that life occurred; it's that ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica hardiek... s almost like home. I can make a drip coffee maker out of anything, but Styrofoam cups are the preferred raw material. So life takes on a certain regularity, taking a walk on the beach or a swim, walking into town for provisions, but mostly sitting right here in my room with my Internet and Cable TV and MySpace and Sype, doing business and talking to my wife and writing and reading and... just living, almost like the real thing. The big ...

Please keep praying for our safety, for ministry as God's hands, feet and voices, the children who attended VBS today, and for those children yet to come. Please also pray for good follow-up to this ministry - that entire families would be reached with the gospel of Christ.
Montego Bay, Jamaica cubm... see but so little time. The best known and most popular tourist attraction in Ocho Rios and all of Jamaica is the amazing "Dunn's River Falls". Visitors can make the 600 feet climb from the base of the falls, hand-in-hand like a human daisy chain. Our tour guide Trevor (Indian looking chap), was waiting for us with a hand held plaque with ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica kitto1969... of its Caribbean city appeal. One huge downpour of rain resulted in cars floating around in the town centre, which made the place look spooky, and it was good to discover that a 5 minute walk further up from the payable Doctor's Cove beach was a stretch of beach equally enjoyable, minus the full extent of facilities, but cost-free, and the kind of beach with which I would associate a Caribbean lifestyle. It is worth ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica jollyjetsetterWe're skimming Jamaica, or as far off as we can be. Seems the remenets of the huricane make it impossible to dock. The rain is in drizzels, but the swells are noticable. There are more seminars planned today. They have to give us something to do, as no one is using the pool area. I'm getting cranky and "Land deprived". The smart captain isn't prediciting where we will be tomorrow.
Montego Bay, Jamaica kupdegra... rewarding than walking down the street in Flanker and having a bunch of my students run up to me yelling "Teacher!!" as they try and tackle me with a giant group hug. 4. Jamaican TV: Although I am blessed to have cable, I have watched my fair share of TVJ and CVM, the two Jamaican television stations. The Jamaican news, especially, is very amusing/gross. I am now used to seeing dead bodies being pulled out of houses and wailing women mourning ...
