We woke to a lovely sun rise, so it was out for a morning run and a few photos of the wonderful views before making our way over the causeway to St Michael's. The castle and grounds don't open till 10am, but you can only walk over the causeway at low tide. We scored the tide so we had until 12.30pm to see the castle and be able to walk back otherwise it would be underwater and the return would have to be by boat...if it was running.

We spent the morning wandering around St Ives.
It is a beautiful village full of art gallaries and narrow streets.
All the walking around made us hungry.
How could I pass up the opportunity for a hearty Beef and Stilton Pasty.
Kim equally splurged on Cornish Cream Scones and coffee ...
... but coming back is the hard part after running for 40 min already.
But what we discoverd on our run is a quaint and picturesque little place worthy of a much closer inspection than a run by allows.
However, that would have to wait till tomorrow as it was sunset by the time we made it back up the hill to the van and we had champers to drink. Why? What is the special occasion? Well, we're on holidays of course so why the hell not!!
... to fill the holes in our stomaches we decide that Newquay is the best bet.
We arrive at about 10am and the find a spot with views from the south to north of Fistral beach. The tides just starting to come in and the waves are head high without a breath of wind... bliss!!!
I can't get into my wetsuit quick ...
It was getting late after all our super day of sightseeing. The plan was to spend the night in a caravan park somewhere by the ocean, and fill up the water in the van, have a hot shower and relax.
The park we were set on was to our uneducated ears, expensive at £22, after all, we are only parking on their land and using a few of their facilities... and we are on a ...

So we moved on and the Nationwide wanted to lend me enough to hire sufficient staff to hire pirates for a 3 month trip to Somalia and then one night at stupid O'clock a motorhome appeared on the aforementioned well known auction site.
We were both immediately attracted to it by the light photos and the set up at the front of the van. We had looked at numerous vans and nothing ...
... and Koos were pretty darn good .I on the other hand left much to be desired on the standing front. After about a minute of surfing, three icicles were washed up onto the beach.Luckily some locals took mercy and dragged them up to the showers. We purchased tokens for 50p each(each token lasted about 2min of hot water), fetcheed all our toiletries(as we were living out of the vans) and proceeded to stip down and hav a good long shower in the nude ...
