18th Monorail to KL Sentral, Ekspress train to airport. Not many people on the flight and only a few that I recognise - Gordon and James, mainly. Arrive back on Christmas Island about 2pm. A beautiful clear approach to the runway, a great view of Settlement on the way in, and a nice smooth landing. Today Spider was sleeping and i was stroking him and he woke up in a sudden and bite me with out thinking!!! Prudence told me it would be O.K. but i don't believe her! Apparently our ship has gone off track and we are lost!! its exciting but scary!!!

... down from the hills (almost 1000 m down to sea level in less than 2 km - my first impression of the harbor with fishing boats was that it was a crater lake or something. But the road, next to the coastline was like 100-200 m high and had great views of the coast. It was a very curvy road because the coastline had all these bays and coves - much like the French Riviera. The plan was to have a shower and then head for a realxing Tibetan massage, but waht we didn't realise is that it's just Tibetan code for torture!! 70 minutes of being pummelled, elbowed, slapped, pulled is not what i call realxing. ... pas la saison des fameux crabes. First time I see so much water. I hope I remember how to swim. What a blue!Our arrival on that little volcanic island surprises everybody. They have only one flight per week and it's not today. Everybody welcomes us warmly and seems enthousiastic for our journey. Unfortunately for me, it's the famous crab season.
