... carrying and the heating being on full blast was the most wonderful feeling to behold, especially for Peter after 18 hours travelling in cool temperatures, not what he needed at all.

After a quick cuppa, one phone call to our local surgery gave us an immediate appointment with Peters G.P. which was utterly amazing in its speed and efficiency. So now we are in 'the system' and Peter is awaiting an Angiogram and consultation ...

... the top of the site with distant views of the downs and sea. On the serviced pitch you get your own water tap, electricity and drainage so you don't have to move when the tanks need filling up or emptying - lovely. The site has a large bar/restaurant area and a conservatory where you can have a drink and take your dog. With it being Christmas, every one is very sociable and there was a lot of talking, drinking and laughter.

... the hill stations of India, only lacking passengers on the roof! Not ideal! Its a slow train stopping at every conceivable place but eventually we are at the Virgin desk, booked in, cases gone and at the restaurant of the Premier Inn wine in hand! This is more like it, the holiday has definitely started now.

... lot more about her and her family. Her husband was in the bombing raid on Arnhem and coined the phrase "A Bridge Too Far".

Then across to Dartmoor and Princetown, site of H.M. Prison for really bad criminals! Met up with old friends Jo and Andrew for lunch at The Plume of Feathers pub, where I had been many times in the past when I lived nearby. ...

Lazy day, with late brekkie. Drove with Liz and John via Torpoint and then Millbrook to Maker Heights, when we sat outside to eat lunch overlooking Cawsand - amazing in late November!

Then walked across Mt Edgecombe parkland along an inlet from the sea to Cremyll, when we had a drink in the old pub, the Edgecombe Arms, before walking back; in all, about 3 miles.
Lovely lazy dinner in front of a roaring fire. So good to see our old pals ...
