... to Blakeney – again me and John have been there before, but mum and dad haven’t, we look round the book sale and then a small craft fair before taking a stroll along the harbour.

Last stop for dinner before going back was in Wells-next-the-sea where we go into Whin Hill Cider shop. Mum, dad and John taste some ciders and ma and pa purchase a couple of bottles. Fish and chips for dinner tonight – yum!

... are going to the bird reserve. By the time we get there we decide its lunchtime and they sell gorgeous Cornish pasties here, second only to the Cornish pasty shop in St Ives in Cornwall, so we sit and eat them before strolling round the reserve. Its very quiet on the bird front here today, we see various wading birds such as Curlews and Oyster Catchers, but other than that there isn’t much about. We walk out onto the beach at the bottom of the reserve because often ...

A hi-octane fuelled seaside weekend

The basic criteria for a blog entry from my angle will be loosely dubbed an escape route from home, which involves at least an overnight stay in some shape or form, thus allowing a 2-night camping trip to a British seaside town to nestle alongside higher-budget and further-flung trips. With my trusty piece of canvas barely having been put to any use beforehand, pitching a tent at a campsite at the town of Burgh-Le-Marsh, on the ...

We found the shipping company that would be handling the bikes without any problem, however they didn’t have any waybills or any knowledge of the bikes being shipped out. The guys there were very helpful in contacting the right people to get the information and confirmation that they needed and sort everything out for the shipment. My bike was checked out pretty quickly and I was relieved when they told me a ...

Frans mimiced the frase: ”Where have you been!” from the stage. Hehe, someone at least had missed me, which were nice to hear :D I guess it can be ************* the road with 8 guys, and be a girl, still… if I am many times more manly than many other girls. Drove back to see if we could find a camp ground….the first one wanted £30per night, thought that was a bit steep! So kept driving on. Finally found a little camping ground near the sear in Snettisham which was much cheaper- £12per ...

Looking back on it now it is hard to imagine how I felt, mainly because I now know what I have encountered over the last year, but before I left I was stepping into the complete unknown... anything could happen!

Anyway, to try and counterbalance the feelings of anxiety I got really really drunk and ended up puking in my tent (which I was sharing with my unfortunate friend Rich).
