Even though we did not have high humidity this morning when we arose, it WAS 103 here yesterday and since we are now out of the Rockies, I guess we can expect that and more as we travel eastward. We got up early with a plan to make a run across Kansas which looked, according to the weather forecast we checked, as if it was going to be one of the hottest spots in the nation today. As it turned out, I am sure it was. At least we weren't back into humidity today ...
In Kansas At Last
... s one and a half. I love it here in Kanas with the wide open spaces. I got to ride on a tractor and the man who drove it was very nice. I went to the pond with my Uncle Lawrence. It was so cool! I saw big frogs. My uncle skipped stones and he taught me. He has German Shephard puppies. Aunt Michelle has been busy taking care of baby Tony. We went to the zoo and saw many animals and we got to ride on a camel. I got to wash our van which ...
No sleep
We rode a short, windy 40 miles into Newton. The days are getting hotter and more humid as we push along. We arrived just in time to grab a quick shower at the local rec, and then headed to the coffee shop ( we believe the name is Norm's). There was a family band playing and the owner was very gracious. He has bi plans to convert his building into a bike ...
