Our first stop is Bangkok which I am SO looking forward to.We have 2 days helping in an prphanage and then 2-3 days of visiting the floating market,temple of the reclining Buddha,fisherman village,Erawan shrine etc.

... us both out, as we love the finer things in life. Well not for the next 3 months. Home cooking all the way, thats also another big joke as Nic and I struggle to boil an egg and I once forgot to put water in the pan when cooking rice! ... now in Northampton, tomorrow we leave for Dover, and on Friday morning we board the ferry for France. Hurrah! If all goes according to plan :-) We'll let you know how we get on of course.

So our tour began, led by Sam, an Australian who has lived in Paris for over a year. Many of the places Josh and I had already seen, but it was good to hear the backstory and some of the quirky tales that went along with them - such as

The last few weeks have been really manic while we've prepared to put our furniture into storage and get our property ready for letting. Thankfully, most of the hard work is completed and now we can concentrate on getting ready for our travels. It's difficult to believe that we leave in just under a week!

Saturday was a very relaxed day. We did our packing - i can't believe how much stuff we've picked up along the way!, finished the washing and had a nap. Then around 2ish ...

... up by my cousin Elliot after some initial issues - Josh and I had hoped to hire a car for a couple of days, however due to lack of credit card we couldn't. Elliot kindly swung past Jim and Cath's to pick up all our 'other stuff' and then to Aunty Sue's house in the country - seriously !

Another country down - just Paris to go on Sunday morning. I can't believe we will be home in a week - the much feared packing will have to begin soon!
