The pedestrian part of the bridge was indeed pretty ricketty. It was tacked on to the side so closely to the train track that if a train had passed by while I was walking over, it would have gone within only a foot or two of me. Bozhentsi has very similar architecture to Tryavna, complete with slate roofs. We walked round the village for around 45 minutes before having some dinner - for me, tarator and some stewed rabbit with potatoes and vegetables. It was past 9 o'clock by the time we finished.

For an extra 2 leva I was taken upstairs to the top of the tower for even more spectacular views over Veliko Tarnovo and the surrounding countryside. I could still see my bedroom windows, on the hill opposite.

... awesome). First day we were back on our learner slope from 2012 so Nik could see what stages we were all at. Then we were off. Our lessons were only for 2 hours each morning, but Nik insisted on coming with us to see how we went each afternoon when we wanted to do a run down a new slope. He was always offering lessons and helping out his class after hours and even offering words of help to other classes if members joined us on our arvo runs and to Simon who wasn't ...
