Breckenridge to Aspen via Independence Pass
Snowmass to Marron Bells, about 40 minutes drive. Great Fall colours along the road and photographer's delight at Maroon Bells. Back down the valley to the roundabout and then back up the next valley to Ashcroft. The road was closed but good scenery anyway. Into Aspen for sightseeing. Left Breckenridge around 9am heading to Copper Mountain Late breakfast in Copper Mountain - not many people around as between seasons. Sightseeing and Farmer's market in Vail - Pretty town and spick and span. Great market stalls with bits and pieces and more food than you could poke a stick at. Good museum below Visitors Centre. Vail to Leadville …

We’ll stay near Aspen for at least one more night. We’re finally getting some of the warm, sunny weather we expected to find here. Tomorrow we’ll bicycle and we would still like to visit Leadville. We’ll keep you posted.
