Today we set out to see some of the sights to the northwest of Las Vegas. After traveling through the city we took US Rt. 95 north to NV 157 and the Mt. Charleston Scenic Byway, which also included NV Rt. 158 and 156, which would eventually bring us back out onto US 95 north. ... managed to loose a reasonable amount of money each haha.
At this point the others arrived. Mia, Santie and Dani had done a Grand Canyon tour in the morning and driven down. Loz and Sarah had also arrived. Everyone proceeded to drink, ta and dance the afternoon away. There were also a lot of catch ups as Loz lives in Germany and Dani in Hong Kong so hadn't seen everyone in a while. It is from this point the afternoon gets quite blurry for most of us. ...

Prescott was a larger place, and bustling. There was an older part of town, which looked interesting, with a park in the centre surrounded by flagpoles flying the Arizona flag, amongst others.
And then we hit problems. Our route was barred, with a police car with flashing lights warning us to stop. A large black man in a high viz jacket was directing bewildered traffic. He walked over to us.
"Is the road shut?"
"Yep... for around 20 ...
... the native dancers weren't even dancing in the amphitheatre. They stalls that sell jewellery from the hualapai (pronouced walapai) reservation wasn't even there too. We got some lovely pics of the eagle in the canyon and headed off to the Skywalk. For everyone who doesn't know the last time i was here i started getting height freight from doing the skywalk so it was very daunting for me. There were no queues so we headed right onto the Skywalk. There was only 2 other couples and us ...
... birthday, my Mother surprise me with something I could never have imagined. A helicopter ride over the Vegas Strip. My Brother and I donned our headphones and climbed into the small compartment, ready for our flight. It was breathtaking. Just to see the bright lights and the bustle of such a world renowned city was an experience I shall always remember- thank you, Mum!
Whilst in Nevada we also rented a car and went to the Hoover ...
