Well, we made it home, safe and sound!

GyPSY guides us brilliantly to our hotel in Boise. We arrive at our room at 9:20 and only 3 hours later than originally scheduled. For us, clearly 8 hours jare equal to11! We got up and saw that our spot had indeed been a good choice even though we couldn't see a thing when choosing it the night before. We had parked in a bramble of blackberry bushes with fat ripe berries everywhere. We picked a few and drove a short distance along the foggy 101 highway to Tillamook OR to the famous cheese factory.
