Mind you I suppose it goes with the somewhat spartan accommodation we are in. We are in a seperate building to the rest of the band. There was not enough rooms available in Alexander court so we are in Fraser Court - which is scheduled for demolition! IN fact telling you that is probably enough to work out that not a lot works in the rooms, and there are not a lot of facilities. the 'functional' kitchen consists of a cooker, 1 fry pan and 1 pot. ...

We decided we couldn't wear the same clothes any longer, and found a launderette in Aviemore, where we put everything through the washer and dryer. What a treat! While that was happening we found a wonderful cafe, where it turned out the chef was from Temuka! Her selection of home-made baking treats was a sight to behold, and it is no wonder they have been nominated in the 'Scotland's Best Baker' ...

... it became apparent that we were not going to get much sleep in the carpark! So after dinner we decided to take a chance and find somewhere else to kip down... there was another Britstop about 15mins down the road, so we hightailed it out of there and just on dark we found the carpark of the Speyside Centre - a fantastic spot well off the road in amongst a whole lot of trees. ... a route that takes us through some magnificently rugged Scottish countryside, bordered by the ever present Lochs. One of the most striking things about the Scottish country is the extraordinarily lush green grass and ground growth. No Acton Park or Sorell dry grass here. One cannot but be impressed by the endless highlands that form a big part of this trip.
