... I had damaged my wheel rims - it was like driving over a kerb. Detoured on the A985 to Kincardine then the A977 and A822 to Crieff and then Dunkeld. Finally A9 to Pitlochry. ... Started engine and noted oil vapour emerging from sump breather tube. Initially seemed to be a lot but after jiggling the tube so it sat better settled down and was no longer visible. Oil pressure 30 psi on idle, 60-70 psi at cruise, Water temperature 90 and electric cooling fan operative. ... the lid and then filling out the label. It then has to be recorded in a ledger, this is liquid gold :) So.... After a lovely cuppa and sandwich, we headed onto our next destination, "Corran" which is on the west highlands. On the way we passed Loch Ness! But sadly no monster was to be seen, it is quite different to what I expected (didn't look any different to any other big lake/Loch/river!) they are 'all' so incredibly beautiful here. ...

... a lovely talk with the American we have spent time with for the last couple nights. She is honestly like a walking guidebook for Scotland and Ireland...and most of Asia for that matter.
We had some lovely chats about places we want to go and things we want to do and I got plenty of new ideas that should keep me going for about 20 years straight.

... arranged with a new bed and furniture right away. We went out for the day and by the time we got back they had changed the children's room into a very nice bedroom for us to stay in for the rest of our vacation in the cottage. We must say, that they really treated us well and did a tremendous job to get us back to feeling right at home again. So, dispite of the incident, we would come back here any time and would recommend the cottage to anyone for a great holiday. The ...
