      So went down to see the bonfire where they set an effigy alight to celebrate (is that the right word?) when the Houses of Parliament were nearly blown up. Seemed like half the town was there despite the temperature getting below zero at one point. Not much else to say. They set ...

      ... in its own way, as the unruined Cardiff Castle, which I loved. Finally, was the Loch Ness exhibition. Guided through 6 rooms, it showed the history of Nessie sightings and all subsequent attempts to verify her existence. Suffice to say while I don't believe (controversial I know), there still isn't enough scientific evidence to absolutely disprove her either. The bus ride back included more towns and facts about Inverness ...

      Walked along the sea front to the small town of Stonehaven and looked at the harbour and the sea. Windy but dry and sunny at times. We were so lucky to have dry weather. After coffee, walked back and drove north again. Went in search of Roman ruins at Garrison Hill but could not see them, only identify where they should have been. Drove towards Aberdeen.
