A most problematic day for traveling as fog had set in and visibility was reduced to about 30 meters. In any event first stop was the pretty town of Braemar the home of the Highland games. Nextly as the weather worsened we stopped in St Andrews initially at the Royal and Ancient golf and then the town. A foggy afternoon drive to Edinburgh followed the city itself also shrouded in cloud. Dinner and Scottish show at hotel ...

... 6' plus as he was my guiding pole because all I could see were groins, belly buttons and chests. First stop was ....... We then all headed off to The Grassmarket situated below Edinburgh Castle the compact Bow Bar was our next stop which is a rather classic Edinburgh pub, which appears little changed by time or tampered with by trendiness. It's very dinky though! After a couple of pints we were off again braving the crowds and the opportunity ...

... So, off we went. Fabulous Italian cuisine @ Jamie Oliver's Italian, authentic peking duck @ some Chinese restaurant and chicken @ Nando's, the UK's famous chicken paradise.

No food without drinks though. Evening after evening we strolled down Edinburgh's bars, alternating between authentic, Victorian style pubs/bars and trendy cocktailbars. Yes, surprisingly even my dad experimented with cocktails instead of his good old beer.

    What was even more ...
