A most problematic day for traveling as fog had set in and visibility was reduced to about 30 meters. In any event first stop was the pretty town of Braemar the home of the Highland games. Nextly as the weather worsened we stopped in St Andrews initially at the Royal and Ancient golf and then the town. A foggy afternoon drive to Edinburgh followed the city itself also shrouded in cloud. Dinner and Scottish show at hotel ...

We arrived to Edinburgh around five on Tuesday evening. Jordyn and I both were so anxious as when we checked in the guy at reception told us that our friend had already checked in and was waiting upstairs! ... in Edinburgh. We have a view of the castle and Old Town right outside our room. We have moved from Victorian Architecture to Georgian. Much older. This place is amazing. We will wander the streets this evening and then take a tour tomorrow. I hear bagpipes calling. It would be crazy to stay in this room. The pipes the pipes are calling...all right, wrong country but still ...
