... it is so cute. People in full tweed suits need a high five. Its amazing. I only got the jacket but I will work on the rest!
My last evening in Edinburgh I shouted myself to an incredible meal with delicious bubbles and wine. And then I had a couple of whiskies just to make cammy proud and went to bed with the sound of bagpipes out my window. Scotland, you rock.

Now I am back at work and looking forward to my next break when mum and dad come over to take on Botswana and ...

... in a haystack and we were not successful, but we did see the grave of Peter Thomson, mum's cousin, who died in 1987. We then travelled back to Edinburgh and found a park on George Street (£3 per hour). We went to our flat for a cup of tea and then walked back to George Street. The airport hotel was, of course, nowhere near the airport but a 10 pound taxi ride away - thank goodness we didn't try to walk! But the hotel had a lovely, very efficient, all-night Receptionist, who had everything all ready for us so we could just fall into the deliciously comfortable bed.  With TWO pillows apiece, yippee!  The Icelandic and Faeroese beds only ever have one, and it's usually the size and thickness of a man's hankie, so not much use, really. ...

I started to set foot in the National War Museum of Scotland, also located at the top of the castle grounds, but decided to spend my time elsewhere since it seemed to only deal with the history of World War I and II. I later found out that it had other parts that went back four centuries of military history, and would have been quite interesting. Instead I went into the Prisons of War recreation. ...
