... at Heathrow airport and he had many interesting stories to share. The whole experience would have been the absolute delight of many, with a keen interest in fire fighting and fire-engines, but I too with a complete black hole in my knowledge of this area, found the visit extremely enjoyable.

... and puffing and admired the architecture of Lincoln Cathedral, but were too mean to pay the 8.00 asking price to go right inside. Across the square was the Castle and that was a lot cheaper, but covered in scaffolding...interesting nonetheless. ... was also really interesting. We’ve seen lots of amazing churches but they keep surprising us. This one was so reminiscent of Ken Follett’s book "Pillars of the Earth" and could have been the inspiration for the book….it was constructed exactly as written in that book.

Then on to the Workshop….only to find it was closed Mon/Tue….today was Tuesday. Damn! It looked amazing.
