After departing company with Dan, my most excellent and generous tour guide (a bit gay though, it turns out he was after my sausage, but I explained that the only sausages I swing about are my own, and the raw sausages in a politicians kitchen, out of pure disrespect), I headed for the Cameron Highlands. There were lots of polythene to protect them from the heavy rain. On they way down we passed more area of cleared rainforest where the tea plantations had been established many years before. ... of Tanah Rata - somewhat of a change not to be sweaty after walking 10 metres!<br><br>The walking trails are in a pretty bad state, but we did manage a lengthy and rather muddy walk in the mountain forest, being lucky enough to spot iridescent birds and one or two snakes.
