    Choosing a nearby getaway for the entire family (14 people) which includes old and young, is always more difficult than it sounds. One has to consider every aspect and input of each and every member. After days of contemplation, we decided to go with Mala's, at panchgani.

    ... flower beds in their enthusiasm to walk around the plateau. And these weren't villagers mind you but so called 'educated' city dwellers. Is it any wonder then that we are losing our forest cover at an alarming rate.

    The locals seemed to be more environmentally sensitive and I could see many volunteers going around picking up the trash left behind by some boisterous travellers.

    ... traditional ayurvedic therapies in the traditional part of the hospital, not quite sure what to expect from those but we'll let you know... We also pick up our Sari's that we ordered when we went shopping with Madam (the most senior doctor in the hospital, who is also about 4ft tall) last week, we've had plenty of offers from people wanting to show us how to wear them properly so I think Wednesday evening is going to be pretty busy!
