Vegas? I prefer the Colorado River!
November 8, 2009:
I'm in Vegas Baby! The only place where you can over dress and everyone will think it's ok. The place where you can pretend that you're famous and party like a rock star! Except, I was here with my brother on a business trip. So not that big of a group to party hard but it's ok I still had fun.
Never really been …
Destination Vegas
We are here! 9 girls (Me, Miriam, Tasha, Kelhi, Tal, Omrit, Diane, Whitney, and Bonnie) are here to celebrate Diane's Bachelorette party. The hotel we stayed at was absolutely beautiful. Tonight we are going to Tao to begin our 3 day party.
Las Vegas - glitzy, kitchy, crazy!
Denver to Las Vegas – up yet again, nice and early to go to the airport. Debbie took us out there, said our tearful goodbyes and onto the baggage check in desk. It never runs smooth does it with us????
Bill had looked up our flights yesterday (Sunday) and found that there was an earlier flight from LA to Las Vegas so he rang American …
Las Vegas - the land of the enhanced!
Las Vegas -wow – what an amazing day we had – I had booked a Grand Canyon Flight ages ago and it was just so worth it, Bill loved it. We started off by getting picked up in a black stretch limo and taken to the Las Vegas airport, where we watched a safety video and then got onto a small helicopter - we got a bit nervous because the …
Rainy Vegas
I promise to give you a break today from the long & somewhat convoluted essays you have been receiving to date.
We woke to rain, heaps of rain, stacks of rain so hung around the penthouse (god, I just love saying that hahaha) and watched a bit of tv before heading out to walk the strip once again. Obviously Las Vegas isn't used to rain …

Historical Traveler Reviews Signature at MGM Grand Las Vegas
Great Hotel, but these tips will help you have a better trip
Just got back from the MGM Grand Signature. Had a great time, staff are friendly, dont know if they treat you like royalty but nice nonetheless.
Arriving at the hotel is a bit tricky if your driving, I had a map but still missed the entrance the first time. Its a big fancy gated area. Private pool was nice, really quiet, nicer deck chairs than other pool, waitress services, cabana's (main mgm pool charges $250 a day to rent, free at signiture).
MGM pool though is great, actually five pools, best part of the signature is that at the end of the walkway to the hotel is the entrance to the pool, sweet. The walkway isnt bad either, seeing people complain on other posts????, I dont get it, all you do in vegas is WALK ????
Used work out room, very nice, free bottled water and apples. Individual TV's, good quality machines. (TIP: IF YOU RUN OUT OF THE TWO FREE WATERS THEY GIVE YOU IN THE ROOM, TAKE MORE FROM THE GYM, RIGHT ON YOUR WAY OUT).
TV's were broken for a day, I called down and they said you could order movies for free until it was fixed, nice.
Still a bit of construction going on, so noisey.
I heard that all 3 towers are also sold out. wow.
Kitchen was great, toaster, blender, microwave, fridge, stove, and all the pots, pans and utensils you need.
BIG TIP: If you are walking to the north end of the strip (towards Alladin, Bellagio, etc) do not go through pedway / casino, it will take 20-30 min to get to the strip (all be it air conditioned) do (walk) out the front doors, go through the main gates, turn left and you can be in the Alladin in no more than 10 min.
This plan isnt foolproof, if you cant take the heat, doesnt work, if its 3am in the morning, go through the hotel, but this will knock so much time off you walking, the MGM Grand is a maze at best.
Have a good time and good luck.
A Perfect Stay
My girlfriend took me on a planned surprise vacation for my first time to Vegas to See Kevin James. We booked our trip in February and chose to stay at the Signature after looking, and seeing it was a new hotel to open soon, and the photos of the rooms, and view were amazing! Especially the bathroom's full glass shower, and whirlpool tub. Upon arrival to the Signature we had to stop at a closed gate to check in- It made it seem very exclusive. We arrived at 10:30 in the morning and to our amazement our room was available -which was great since we'd been travelling for 5 hours. The guided tour of the lobby was an added plus so we weren't walking around aimlessly looking for anything. The room was exactly as shown- it was beautiful. Incredible view (although we didn't have a balcony.) We could see the construction of the other two towers from our room but we never heard so much as a hammer banging. Our room did have a broken handle to the closet- we informed the front desk and when we got in later that night it was already fixed. I would love the bathroom to be in my own home...only complaint was the showerhead- It could have been a little more state of the art - made for poor water pressure. The gift shop opened the day that we got there but we never saw the doors open. It did make for an inconvience- ordering room service for a few sodas and ice teas made for a pretty expensive bill...we got wiser later in the trip and started picking up the essentials in the MGM Grand before making the trek back to our room. The distance to the MGM casino is short and the moving walkways make it easier. ( I am not sure if I would want to stay in Tower 2 or 3 when they open because I would think that it would make for a long walk!) The Gym and the pool looked great although we didn't use them...you still pay a $15 daily resort fee. Impeccable hotel-Highly recommended for those who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the casinos...We felt like we were going home every night not back to a hotel room- 5 Star Service!!
Fantastic place
We got married in Vegas on the 19th July and stayed at the MGM Signature in a one bedroom suite. We absolutely loved this place it is fantastic. We have been to Vegas several times before and have stayed at most of the major hotels; Venetian, Paris, Alladin, Bellagio and this is the best. The service is wonderful, they even allowed me to have photos around the pool after the wedding. The food by the pool is great value and very good quality. We had the best crab cakes ever! The whole place is an oasis, which is just what we were looking for. A 2 min walk to the main hotel along an air conditioned walk way is very acceptable. I will return again and again to this place, it's great.
Good, but still some issues to work out
Stayed @ MGM Sig after the 4 th holiday. As with other reviews, the service staff was very well mannered and the hotel was very nice. The rooms are a notch above most other places with a built in kitchen and pull out couch. The main issues I had are related to the early opening. The advertised STARBUCKS is not yet opened, or the hotel gift/sundrie shop. You have to go over to MGM Grand for just about everything. Also, the ice machine on our floor was broken, as was the bathroom TV. They also left an exposed electrical panel uncovered in the room. We informed them of all of this, but it was not fixed before our departure. Also, the in-room fridge is nice, but if you are a light sleeper, it will wake you up. All in all, it does give you some different choices for staying on the strip, but for the same type of room, the best deal in town is still the Embassy Suites.
Peace and Quiet Two Minutes From the Strip!!
We have never reviewed on Trip Advisor before, but the lack of information on the Signature here (as it is new), and our time there has encouraged us into it....
We booked a room at the Signature for four nights, hoping it would be a peaceful start to our week before finishing off at the Bellagio. We were not disappointed one bit.
We arrived the Sunday before Independance Day to their busiest weekend since opening, but the attention we recieved was great. Service from the Lounge bar was excellent, even putting the World Cup games on for us.
We stayed in a Junior suite which was big enough for the two of us, and equiped with flat screen TV's, refrigerator, hob and microwave, and a made for a great place to relax in between visits to the (fairly small but empty) pool and the MGM for the restaurants and slot machines. The shower was great, along with the whirlpool bath.
We had concerns that the noise from the completion of construction of the other two 'towers' would affect our stay, but although it was fairly noisy at times, the overall seclusion at Signature more than made up for it.
There is also a $15 per day 'Resort Fee' which was a bit of a surprise. This covers access to the Gym, two bottles of water, and coffee replaced by Housekeeping each morning.
A great thing we found was that while we could enjoy all the benefits of the MGM GRAND (two minutres away via a moving walkway), the guests and MGM GRAND could not enjoy the peace and quiet at the Signature (Room Key required for access)!!
Very different to anything else on the Strip, but still only five minutes away. Highly recomended for a couple (like us), but even more so for families who seem to get a rough ride at other hotels. Children were welcomed in the lounge and pool areas, and rooms were plenty big enough to keep any children entertained.
Best of all was the All American Breakfast via In Room Dining, which we enjoyed three mornings out of four. Fantastic.
Highly Recomended.
Top Class Hotel
My husband and I returned from our first trip to Las Vegas last week. We chose to stay at the Signature based on the pictures from the internet. What an excellent decision! Upon arriving at the Signature we were greeted by the friendly employees and were given a very insightful tour by the belhop. Our room was like a home away from home, equipped with a view of the city and the surrounding mountains. The concierge(s) always had the answer to our questions. In particular, Rishi was extremely helpful and he went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. One of the most pleasant aspects of our trip was the privacy from the busy hustle of the strip and casinos. I highly recommend the Signature at MGM - it is a sure win!
Loved the Signature
My family and i were lucky enough to stay at this wonderful hotel, By chance i saw it listed and researched it, There were 3 of us, My wife, 14yr old son and myself, I decided to upgrade to the one bedroom suite to have a seperate room and my son slept on the fold out in the living room, there was a awesome kitchen with everything you wanted from full size fridge, oven, washing machine, two bathrooms, one with just shower, the people at the SIG treat you like royalty and after a hustle and bustle of the strip it was nice to come back to peace and quiet at the SIG. We felt safe letting our son go to the arcade that is attached to the MGM. The lounge was a quite place for a drink. All of the concierge people were great. A++++++
Love the Luxury
We just returned from a trip to Las Vegas 7/06 where we had the great pleasure of staying at one of the MGM Grand's new Signature Suites. How I came across this was because I was looking for a hotel room with more than one bathroom. You know what I mean if you have mostly girls. When I made the reservation I had no idea what we were getting. To my surprise it was one of the best places I have ever stayed. When we arrived we were greeted at the security gate; they asked my name then we were given entrance to the hotel. Upon driving up friendly personnel opened the door, took our luggage and escorted us in to the front desk. We received our keys and went up. We opened the door to our suite and WOW it was amazing. It had everything high tech you could want. First you enter the kitchen which is a FULL kitchen I mean Refrigerator, Stove, Dishwasher, Pots, Pans, Eating Utensils, Microwave, Blender, and Toaster.
Next was the living room with 1/2 bath with telephone, an elegant dining set and Mini Bar area with two bar stools, a flat screen T.V., DVD player, private Balcony and pull out queen size couch which was perfect; not uncomfortable at all.
The bedroom had a king size bed, with a Flat screen T.V. within the office desk (my kids loved this!) a safe, and an ipod receiving device with radio.
The huge master bathroom had a mini Washer/Dryer, jacuzzi bath, T.V., shower, and private toilet with a telephone, and the largest, softest, towels I've ever used.
The suite was so comfortable with every amenity you could want, we didn't want to leave.
Now, the thing that you are wondering is the price. Yes it is high approx. $250 and up per night, but I would highly recommend this place to stay at least once when visiting Las Vegas if you want a home away from home plus more.
Enjoy and have fun.
The signature was wonderful
We just got back from our trip to vegas last night and the hotel was awsome! We went there for our honeymoon and could not have picked a better place. We arrived on Tuesday and the signature had a limo pick us up. Upon our initial arrival we puledl up to the gate, told the guard our name, and proceeded on through. As we pulled up the drive we were greeted by several employees who welcomed us, took our luggage, and escorted us to the check-in desk. After we checked in, the bell man took us on a tour of the hotel. He then took us to our room where we were greeted with champagne and chocolates. The rooms are amazing. The room had a very comfortable king size bed and across from the bed you have a plasma TV, sink , mini refridgerator and stove. The bathroom had a mini plasma and a giant jacozzi tub, which was wonderful. The only complaint I had was that the water pressure was not very high. Everyone was so nice and would do anything to make your stay more enjoyable. Even the guys who were working on the lights and escalators would smile and say "hello". The pool area is not very big, but is very private and comfortable. The only other problem we had was having a shirt dry cleaned. Two of the buttons were missing. I notified the hotel of the problem and they came and took the shirt. John, who was the guest services supervisor, was so curtious and was willing to do what ever I wanted to resolve the problem. He ended up sending the shirt off to have the exact buttons replaced on the shirt. Everything about the hotel was emaculate and we could not have stayed at a nicer hotel. The employees treat you with such respect, kindness, and hospitality.
Great new place in Vegas!
Great Hotel!
This hotel had been open for a week when we arrived. We were one of five guests in the entire hotel. When we drove up, 5 people came to greet us--all very friendly. One of them gave us a tour of the hotel. The service was excellent, if not a bit overwhelming since everyone almost went too far out of their way to help since it seemed they had little to do because there were so few guests registerd at the time.
The small suite we stayed at was very clean with kitchen and small refrigerator. The bed had Egyptian bedding--very soft and comfortable. We had a plasma TV in the bedroom and bathroom. The bath had a huge tub.
We asked about prices for the sale of units, but the sales people at the MGM sales center weren't very interested in us.
The hotel was having problems with internet wiring, but they followed up promptly. There is a passage way which connects directly to the MGM Grand which is great and convinient. We enjoyed being on the strip without the loudness and craziness of the other hotels which were nearby. Would stay there again!
