Finally arriving where we needed to be we made our way to the South Side Pier for a view of the Brooklyn Bridge, something that Shaylee had wanted to see ever since booking our flights to New York. With the weather still poor we only had time for a quick couple of photos before taking some shelter. ... TV :-) OK, so not so much a relaxing night!! Poor Sammy used the toilet and he started calling out to me and when I went in there to see what he needed the toilet was filling up and overflowed all over the floor...... Where's a plumber when you need one!!!..... I rang reception who said they'd send someone up straight away....... After about half an hour a maintenance man arrived, the toilet had gone back down, but not before running all over the bathroom floor and escaping ...
... pillow each so we could get a better sleep.
We had dinner at Morning Star Greek Restaurant on 9th Ave cnr 57th St. Served by the lovely Christina. I had Penne with Lobster and Shrimp with a Greek Salad. Peter had fresh Chicken Noodle Soup, then Chicken with Creamy Peppercorn Sauce, Broccoli and a huge Baked Potato and sour cream. We shared an Italian bottle of Pinot Grigio.
... We also visit where the ice rink used to be (not used in the summer time obviously) and in its place was a mini fair with little roller coasters and other rides. We leave Central Park and I'm happy with the things we have seen. Hinesh is impressed by the size of the park.
We meet Uncle Jesse and Aunty Maridette who have come up for the day to watch a Wicked matinee. We find a little park and have siopao and sesame and bean buns for a late snack (which ended up being dinner for ...
