Hello All, Just coming to the end of our relaxing week and now ready for the tour of New Zealand. Some jottings of our time in Sydney and in Noosa Head. Sunday 2 March 2008 - 18:05 Location: Metro Hotel on Pitt We got a day pass for the trains, buses and ferries today. Started by going to the Sydney Opera House - it looks great close up as well. A swimathon was happening next to the Opera House - swimmers were streaming out of the water. Then took the Ferry to Manly Beach. The weather was com...

... ability to read the waves so you catch it at the right point or it would pick the tail of the board up and push the nose into the floor and send you flying or it would just fizzle out and not take you anywhere but it was great fun and the best workout I've had in ages. I think its just a case of finding somewhere to practice the correct technique of getting up on the board which should be fun.
I'll let Laura write about her experience.
Well it's kinda ...
... Most of us headed down to Eli Creek which was about a 25-30 minute alk along the beach. Supposedly you can float on the creek and it will drift you down to the sea where it ends up. Instead we kinda just waded through the water down to the sea. After more lazing around and sunbathing we went back to camp and started dinner which was stir fry. Again we started the drinking early again. By 8 oclock it was pretty much game over for me after playing several drinking games which ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia stevenmoodyNoosa is beautiful. Its probably the nicest town weve been to. Driving up to the beach we saw the biggest waves weve ever seen, and with them - hoards of the stereotypical surfer types hanging out in board shorts and bikinis in the sinking orange sun. Driving around Noosa was a joy. We found our way up high above the crashing surf to a beautiful look out point surrounded by lush green forest ...
Noosa, Australia andyandkirstine... re there most every night and it seems like there's always one on every window of the living room area. one of them has a stubby tail and he's consistantly on the same window every night, which causes me wonder if the others are the same individuals night after night as well. perhaps they're territorial? anyways. these little buggers are so cute. they're very light colored--almost white, but i think this is just their ...
Bli Bli, Queensland, Australia katelin... it's difficult to manage anything at 200km ph), whilst hurtling to the ground. I loved every second of it. I'll research ways of converting the DVD and getting it on here for you to watch. And, it would seem that my Cheshire grin prevented the flappy wind face syndrome that almost everybody gets.....didn't do anything about the bingo wings though unfortunately. It was AWESOME. I spent Christmas with Katie and Matt (who've just got engaged ...
Men ingen skår i forventningens glæde. Foruden Jamie og os tre består vort rejseselskab af et engelsk ægtepar fra London og Margaret fra Power Street i Mawson, Canberra. Den første strækning ud af byen følger vi Noosa River med ...
Noosa, Australia joergen... I expect she must have misaligned the steering or burned the clutch too much, because for some reason the vehicle got bogged down when I was driving. The highlight for us on Fraser was our visit to Birrabbeen lake - one of the many freshwater lakes surrounded by beautiful white sand that dot the island. The lakes themselves aren't fed by rivers, instead filling in natural resorvoirs that are 'plugged' by the rotting vegetation from the jungle. The water is filtered by ...
Mooloolaba, Australia twogypsies... to the car in front our front two wheels were way off the floor!! We were all screaming in the back it was well scary! Anyway we got to the lake in one piece, with a few bumps and bruises as lapbelts don't really work that well on those roads, and we walked down the path to the lookout point over the lake. The view was amazing (pics - http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=1 4754&l=ab845& id=510031269 and http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=1 4757&l ...

And finally we were at all times proud Aussies taking our job as "peace ambassadors" seriously saying "g'day mate!" ad nauseum or demonstrating our cultural heritage by singing classic aussie songs like Khe Sanh or being iconic animals like Wallabies. "Oh Really!!!" Thank you for participating in our incredible adventure xxxx (Karon insisted that it was a necessary requirement of all good Q'landers to have fourexs.
