Travel Blogs from Chirnside Park
... On the tour we saw Captain Cooks house (Rania couldn't get over the fact that it had been shipped all the way over from England), a miniature village (places where Sarah Green could not fit), Parliament building, St Paul's cathedral (not as good as the original), Fed square, the main shopping area, the fancy street with all the designer shops on, a load of bohemian cafes, the botanical gardens and the Anzac monument ...
Well the alarm got us up this morning at 5;45am as we were being collected at 6;45am along with a mini bus full of adventurers for a full days trip up the Great Ocean road going west out of Melbourne. It's 300km long and we did 280km there and back again today! We stayed one night at the Sebel Lodge Yarra Valley and really like the rooms with a nice view on the golf courses. The restaurant served excellent breakfast with everything imaginable included. What was disappointing was the internet fee of 0.55 AUD a minute. While the rate was capped at around 30 AUD/day, you would easily spend that amount for only an hour of connectivity, which is just too much!
