... and with a loo and shower that's indoors but outdoors too kind of, which provides an interesting experience in the rain and the storm that has broken. And boy is it raining. It had better stop before dinner because we're ten minutes walk from anywhere and you wouldn't last ten seconds in this. Luckily it's late afternoon and hopefully the timing will be right. We've already had a whole day at the beach (the nice one) most of which I spent in the sea. Bouyant Geoff. Who'd have thunk that ...

Somehow managed to get in at 3am last night, so our 6:30am bus journey was one hell of a shock to the system. We thought it was 20mjns to the boat...it was an hour and half, but with an unexpected traffic jam, it took 4 hours!! Luckily, we weren't the only ones stuck, so the boat was waiting for our arrival. An hour and a half later, we were pulling up to Gili Trawangan, a beautiful white beach and Main Street ahead of us. ...

... of the whole day. It may have only lasted like 10 minutes but it was a reprieve we needed before tackling the dusty, slippery, exhausting path that awaited us next. It was insane! Running shoes are NOT good for griping this type of terrain and I spent most of my time on all fours grabbing at grasses and small roots where I could find them trying desperately to move forward instead of sliding backwards. Wow, it was hard and added an element of frustration which ...
