Pokara, Nepal

I am happy to report that the bus trip from Kathmandu to Pokara was very uneventful!! The hotel driver was waiting for me when I arrived in Pokara. Again, luck was on my side and The Sacred Valley Inn was exactly as described by other travellers. Large rooms and so clean!!! and very nice manager/owner although after spending several days there and booking taxis, trekking tour, bus ticket . . I feel there referral fee is way too high . . . as well when I had them reserve my flight from Kathman...

He takes this as cue to go again and we start back into the body lefts and rights and we get rocking again. After surviving the first go around the second one was a bit easier but I had know idea why we were doing what we were doing. We paid for a half hour flight but we got 45 or 50 minutes time to come into for a landing. I see Stefan ...

Hom (our guide) asked the question and looked quite worried as he knew that there would be no medical care from this point if we needed it.

Neil decided that we’d walked to the next village and see how he felt. We made it to the next village and he felt fine so we carried on. I think the combination of drugs was now taking affect and he was starting to get colour back in his cheeks and an appetite. ... left their bags at the hotel opposite the one I was staying at in Kathmandu so we shared a taxi back from the bus station. We then had to trawl round all the hotels in that area to find rooms as both our previous hotels were fully booked. That was when I also discovered that they knew Chandra, who owns one of these hotels. He was the man I mentioned had asked me to join him for tea soon after I arrived. However, Kathryn and Simon had been invited to drink “raksi” when they met ...

... friendly attitude, loads of bars and resturants and of course the lake! Really had a great time though and looking forward to spending another couple of days here after the trek.

Got another early bus ride at 6am tomorrow which is taking us to Besisahar ready to start the trek, can't wait! The trek should take around 16 days so we won't be able to contact anyone for a while so hope everyone is ok and love you all lots.

... a jeep off roading and when we got to the top we waited having tea to see if the weather was going to turn bad or not. it cleared and i was able to do the paraglide. was so easy, mmuch less scary than sky diving, you are just standing on the side of a mountain and then you run off and you are sitting in a chair type harness just floating, got some great pics of Pokhara when the weather cleared, even got to steer for a bit.

Fun times :)
