    ... Horse, bit of a murky day with the sun not peeking through but no rain, cool day so it was on with the scarf and jacket. Nice to spend some relaxing time in the little village we are staying, a long walk and catching up on washing was the best way to complete the day!!     We drove north to Ripon this morning to the Racecourse for a vintage car show; Brian and Maureen went with us. Barbara is staying home to catch up on chores and get some rest.

    Ripon Garden Racecourse was built in 1900, but horse racing has taken place near this site since the mid 1600's. The racecourse is perfect grass, rather than the clay that I have seen at courses at home.
