    ... this was is that the town and seafront are on slightly different levels; probably about 40 metres different. We walked through the town learning of its origins; being foundered by Henry Pease as a village for his workers to find some recreation. He had Quaker beliefs so the village seemed similar to its midlands equivalent in Bournville.     ... looking for a place for lunch.
    We fond the Cobblestone Cafe in the centre of Grassington and we enjoyed the paninis with tea. As we were looking for a table another couple offered to let us share their table in the courtyard outside so we passed the time waiting for lunch chatting to a couple from Chesterfield who were staying nearby for a few days walking.

    We have had an easy day, with no alarm clock set this morning, allowing the day to meander at its own pace. The sun woke us this morning despite the heavy curtains as our bedroom faces east.

    Our fridge was flashing at us again as we got up, telling us that we were out of gas. We had tried to get a second bottle the day before but hadn't been able to buy one. All this hot weather and the Poms are running for their barbecues which is quite unusual apparently and so gas is in short supply.
