... to get out for a wander to find it about eight cars pulled into the carpark. As it was a very small carpark and we nearly filled one end of it we decided to move on before we got jammed in. ... On either side of the road, you'll typically find stone walls. As in not 1 foot from the road. So yes, you have that disadvantage, multiplied by the fact you are driving a vehicle wight the steering wheel located on the other side of the car, multiplied by the fact the traffic is opposite side of the road. ... this area is Malham Cove, a huge natural amphitheatre whose sheer vertical walls rise 80 metres above the valley floor. It wasn't until we reached the top of the Cove that we realised how high our hike had taken us, and we had to descend hundreds of steps before following the Beck (stream) to the path that would take us back to the village.
Our Britstop tonight is a farm shop in the village ...
