... cramped spaces and bags on laps, as well as a welcome glut of snack and toilet stops.<br><br>So we are now in Durban in another lovely guest house - where we plan to take in the sights, eat bunny chow (hollowed out loaves of bread filled with stew) and drink several martinis in the local bar's happy hour. That day I took a nap on the beach, a nap under a palm tree on the beach, woke up and walked back to the hostel and took another nap by the pool. By this time is was 5 and Trever was coming to pick me up to go have supper with Kent Crane, Jeffs dad. That is a story unto its self and deserves its on entry which it may get later.

... at the hostel took me to the shebeen that evening. A shebeen is an illegal drinking establishment - basically someone's apartment that had a refrigerator, cheap cold drinks, and locals siting around drinking & playing cards. From Coffee Bay, I got a ride with an english guy and stopped at the Nelson Mandela museum in Umtata and we got a guide to take us to the birthplace of former president Mandela (a 2.5 hour drive on dirt roads in the beautiful countryside).
