    ... of a nearby hill where there was a beautiful and huge statue of Buddha along with a couple of very pretty Buddhist temples built in a small complex up there. The views over the bay were stunning and the giant Buddha itself was very impressive to see up close, standing at 67 meters tall it remains one of the largest in SE Asia. It was a wonderful and scenic way to end our self-guided tour and we had a really great time in Da Nang/Hoi An that day.

    Mum and I spent the day at Lantau Island (Dad didn't fancy it and stayed onboard) crossing the strongest suspension bridge in the world. First we visited the only genuine fishing village in Hong Kong, houses built on stilts and totally reliant on the fishing industry they simply don't waste a thing, the markets have every fish and fish part dried and hanging on their stalls, their speciality....well that would be the fish ...

    ... big day in Sanya. Today it is cooler, 21degrees and the seas are a little heavier.
