... because we haven't done many side trips in Jamaica, but they cost so much. To leave the hotel costs you $100 minimum in a taxi, even if it's 15 minutes down the road, then you add on the tour price and tips and it comes very costly. Also, after 6 full-on weeks where we were doing something everyday, it is nice to sit around doing nothing for a change. A whole heap of Pommies turned up today and have spent all day at the swim up beer drinking. No hats, ...

... the iPad and bought a subscription to AFL live for $20. Sat in the pub upstairs, sipped on our cocktails and watched the footy on the tiny screen. Not quite the same as watching it home but still ok. Turns out it was a one-sided game and wasn't much of a game to watch. Fletch was happy with the result.

Actually getting sick of cocktails, at home I'd be lucky to have 1 or 2 a year. Here, I'm downing about 10 a day. Might have to slow down a bit. ...

Spent our last day in New York by going to the Natural History Museum (where Night of The Museum was filmed). They had some very impressive exhibits, herds of elephants, dinosaurs, bears, whales, giant turtles etc. We saw some moon rocks, meteorites and some very expensive gems. We did some souvenir shopping after lunch and then came home and started packing. Went out for dinner and had a typical American meal. Massive plates of food were put in front of us, we ...

... restaurant was fresh and made at your table. You get to taste everything. They were very good about making my husband's food separate since he is on a special diet.
9. Food at Maxime's was good.
10. The Beach Party food was very good - roast pig, etc.
11.You don't get pressured to listen to a timeshare if you are not interested.
12. They have vendors with local art but no one tries to pressure you to buy.
