I'm sitting in the Charlotte airport on my 8 hour layover, drinking a cold beer and reflecting on the last 10 years. This trip is far and beyond anything I've ever done before, and it is really exciting. Especially since I still don't have half of it planned yet!

Then I took a spot at another simulator and off we went. I crashed at least twice and didn’t get a qualifying lap done. Cheryl walked over and giggled a bit. I then got a successful lap in, but it was almost 10 seconds slower than Cheryl. I could hardly hold my head up from shame.
