Bath baby!

... hides out (and trashes) in the latest film is in Lacock. And, wait for it, I can offer you an exclusive preview into what Harry Potter's parents' house (in Godric's Hollow) looks like, which will be appearing in the next film! How cool is that? Ok, well, only Caroline and Terri and a couple of other HP fans will get excited about it, but I thought it was cool.

Anyway, since I'm feeling rather sniffly, I think I'll end my entry here.

Pete, the one eyed, one horned purple people eater

I manged to buy a car in November, a purple Rover 216! Very sporty.. lol. But I did have to spend a bit of money on it to get it into shape and MOT'd. Well registered in Australia. He and I have had some adventures already but I'm sure plenty of more when I take him to Scotland with me!

Enjoy the photos of Pete

Stonehenge to Bath to London

... was trying to avoid him by taking a picture really quick with the statue but he was quicker than I was! After my picture was taken with him, he started talking to us about heavy metal, and he was actually kind of funny...but I never ended up being able to take my picture with the lovely Ms. Austen.

We then caught our bus back to London and went to bed right away as we had to be up by 3:15am to get ready to catch a flight to Berlin.

Visit to Roman Baths

We arrived at our final destination in the beautiful city of Bath. We were dropped in the centre of the city and headed to our destination at the Roman Baths. Again we were very limited on time and only allowed just shy of two hours which was extremely unfortunate. The City of Bath is amazing and I dare say I will be going back there to tour the city itself at some point while out here. This was not our current goal however and we headed down the ...

... to check out the large and looming St. Paul's Cathedral. Like most historical attractions here, there's a relatively steep admission price to get in so I admired it from the outside. Just across from St. Paul's I crossed the river on the Millenium Footbridge - a bridge that was designed to sway in the wind, but swayed so much it tossed several people over the edge when it first opened. They had to install special ...

Stonehenge and Bath

... good for a city with a population of just 80,000. I toured the Roman Baths. The temple there was built in about 70 AD. That's just amazing to me, because everything in the U.S. is so new. I absolutely love old places like this, with such a deep history.

I stopped by a shop and bought a panini to eat in the park. Supposedly you have to pay to go into ...

... search for the ticket office begins. Where is it?!?! I call the number I had written down using my credit card for the call (turns out it cost 2.35) which was a recording that I could hardly eve hear. So I hung up after 30 seconds or so. Ok I remember online something saying they had an office in the building next door. I run over there and go in the door right at 8:45. I tell them I know I'm late but I'm here for the 203 tour to Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath. What?!?! Cancelled ...

A Day To Remember: Through The English Countryside

... about history. Unless it's military history I suppose. The tour moves on, and soon enough, we see the giant megaliths of Stonehenge approaching in the distance. As we walked around Stonehenge with our audio tours held up to our ear, snapping picture after picture, I was practically stumbling due to disbelief that I was actually there. The monument is an awe inspiring reminder of the power of the human mind, with the perfect ...

... healed." We then toured the ancient Roman Baths (60 A.D.), perhaps the most well-known attraction in the town of Bath. The baths were incredible: http://www.romanbaths.co.uk/. It was amazing to see how ingenious the ancient Romans were in using the warm natural spring waters for cleanliness and health. I have many pictures of these Baths, but will only post a few ...

Stonehenge

I end up on a bus with 25 women from Vietnam. The trip is somewhat taxing and suddenly it turns out that my motion sickness is back. I get some pill from one of the passengers, and by the time we reach Stonehenge I begin to feel alive again.

Stonehenge is this pile of megalitic rocks brought from Wales by the Celts, although it's just one of the countless theories about this place. It is located on a vast plain in the middle of ...
