The truck clean got finished, went to the room, no hot water, no water at all

Mick never did wash the truck, he got 2 blokes into do it, then complained when they didn't do it properly (just round the corner is a jet was for trucks, he just didn't look or ask about it)

In the end I went off for some food, found a pretty good cafe, Oasis Hotel had a steak sandwich and 2 cups of coffee

Got back still no water, I gave up, it ...

... to see the local communities settle in after sunset. We followed the course of the Nile. Each small farming community has armed guards at the gates. As the sun sets all the small mosques call the faithful to prayers and light up the minarets like Christmas trees. ... We headed back to Russian Bali but left the next day. To be honest, it was a relief! Our driver/guide who took over in Luxor (Hanne) was a simple man, he smoked a lot of shisha, (like a flavoured smoke), he ate a lot of burgers, and he loved air conditioning! Every stop was planned so he could indulge in a quick shisha. Basically, he was just there to make sure we didn't get lost. Next stop is Jordan. Hopefully the culture shock in Egypt was enough to prepare us for the true Middle ...

... at an all inclusive resort for 3 days! Not very Dragoman but a welcome change from the wild camping we did throughout Sudan and the ****** hotels we've had in Egypt so far. I've also got to that templed out stage as we have visited at least one a day since we hit Sudan. The pax changed in Gondar and it's all marginally better but no life long friends on this ...
