... a walk through lots of the hotels and end up at the Luxor. So we started off accross the road at Caesar's Palace. Actually it was very similar to the Venetian inside - very nice. Our walk took in The Bellagio Fountains again (todays music was Ayesha's Dance - beautiful), New York, New York Hotel, The Excalibur Hotel, The M&M shop (just for Wowsie) and the Hard Rock Hotel.
We finally ended up at the Luxor which right on the outskirts of The Strip away from ...
... the circus stage they have carnival games just like at a fair. Peg and I played the horse race game twice. You roll a ball into a series of holes and get 0 - 3 points for each hole that is how far your horse advances. Peg’s horse beat mine on the first game but neither of us won. On the second game I beat the other 15 players and won Peg a stuffed unicorn prize.
Back to the camper for a late dinner and collapsed into bed after a busy fun ...
... did expect us to reimburse her with the equivalent in cash.
The next day, we got up nice and early for a long day out in the car to the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon......which I shall tell you about in the next entry so that the map flows without having to do two Vegas entries.......however, we got back in time for a great meal at the Top of the World Restaurant.....the revolving restaurant at the top of the Stratosphere Tower, on the 106th floor (not sure how ...
... no luck!
We realise it’s now 3:30pm and decide to head back to the hotel. We walk back a different way to try and find a grocery store for some more food that we needed. On our way there, we see a couple sitting by a bus stop and who began telling us a sob story as to how their son lost their bus pass and they just need some money to get on a bus to get home. I was not in the mood to deal with hearing **** like that, so we just walked straight ...
... was kind of hippy dippy. I felt like we should have been in a different 'state' in order to appreciate this room. There were reclining chairs to lay down on so you can take in the ceiling light and wave show. In the center of the room was a flattened, circular container that created waves. The moving waves were projected onto the ceiling above in multicolors. We didn't stay too long in here.
We went into the Salt Grotto which was a very relaxing ...
