There are things one cannot get used to and that is the poverty, the size of the population and the many differences there are between Western and Indian Sub-Continent cultures. Most are welcome and liberating some are not but with every visit we learn more.... We may visit again in April just before our Visa's expire and going forward look towards Nepal, Tibet and the Punjab and that fantastic Golden Temple - who knows -

Our aim is to have a life laundry over the next few months. Plan our year long trip through Europe. Sell or pass on to others things we need. Buy and equip a motor home. Produce a photo/video documentary of the trip.

Last brief entry, just to say we are safely back home, arriving yesterday with Sue picking us up at Manchester airport.

We've had a fantastic trip - very memorable! Thank you for following our trip. Hope it hasn't been boring, certainly hasn't for us.

Tow truck 2, turns up at 15:29 and we are off again for the next leg of the journey, Stirling Services to Lancaster Services. This journey takes around 4 hours and I have a nice chat with the driver, Jim all the way. We phone ahead and arrange the next tow truck to meet us at Lancaster at 19:15, guess what? Yes, it wasn't there and I am told it won't be there until 20:15 and it finally arrives at 20:30

... so I made French toast for breakfast. I also baked an apple pie, because Katie had received a load of apples and we were just discussing my love of baking...so I got inspired! ... so ended up doing some more boutique shopping (bought a blanket!) and ended up in a museum about the life of the edinburgh people over the last 100 or so years, called the "people's story" (free entry! $) which was really fascinating to see - and important too if you want to learn a bit about the people. John took me to Blackpool. He may have wanted to show me a UK beach resort. The street along the beach was full of decorations. I took a picture of his profile in the car. It was just a memory of Blackpool. We were on the way from Preston, where we met his old friend, and John talked about the word "love", because people there used "love" meaning "you" very often, when they talk to someone, like "Good morning, love!". That sounded awkward to him.
