... few cannon firing from the Union forces on the Ridge. It was only a fraction of the sound and fury, the hail of bullets and canister shot the soldiers faced but even that small amount was enough for me. The fact that any soldiers made it through at all much less breaking through the Union lines even momentarily was amazing.
Trent and I tried our best to break through but alas, the outcome of the battle was the same.

Women can, more or less, wear what they want (so no - I will not be required to wear a Burka or Abaya!) But most importantly for my adjustment to a new part of the world...YES, alcohol is allowed! :)

Kind of mixed feeling today as the Puffin and I landed at Leesburg airport for the first time in over 13 months.
