A short and easy drive today to get everybody going (and rookies in particular).
No regularities but some spirited navigation required...
After an initial 90 miles on West 78 Interstate (too much traffic and too many trucks...) we went through rural Pensylvania of the "Bridges of Madison County" sort.
Beautiful. Forest, flowers, lakes.

... in the garden squirrels and chipmunks run around (squirrel I saw, chipmunk not yet).
I forgot that there were 2 bathrooms in the house, which is usual in the US, so I have my private bathroom just for me, myself and I (unless Gregory comes home ;-) )
So now, I just need to get used to this qwerty keyboard and catch up with Wilma! 15 years, lots to talk about ...

... br> I have been to Southeast Asia before. On that trip I made the huge mistake of taking a suitcase with me. Hauling a suitcase up several flights of stairs to get to my room was not my favorite trip experience. Somewhere in Cambodia, someone has a picture of a motorcycle with the driver, an off-balance suitcase and me holding on for dear life at the back as we tore through Phnom Pehn avoiding potholes.

... uses her whip-smart mind to make sense of it all. She thanks me for my insights but also wants us to visit new lands for me like China where I’ll also feel the rush of new sights and sounds. Or maybe she’d just like to see me sweat as she does wrestling with the challenges of communicating where even the stop signs are inreadable.

Fair enough—I’d like to tackle a few Asian mysteries myself. Sure beats ‘island ...
