... but for some reason has a different name in Nanyang.

That was all fine and good. I met a Calgarian named Daniel, but the kiwis wanted to watch some sort of rugby match. It was the world cup or something. That's when I wanted to die. The one kiwi was a complete *******. I came here to get away from one ******* and then just came smack up against another one. Another black guy from Seattle smacked my butt and I had to tell him ...

Was it this bad when we lived there, or have we just got used to a new 'norm', and so are noticing the rubbish more? I'm sure it wasn't that bad. Fascinating seeing the lock gates close and then to rise on the water. Mike totally in his element with the hydraulics and the mechanisms. I too found ...

... check the rating on it in Canadian standards but there were scenes that were sexually explicit, extreme violence, and profanity used every few words. The afternoon movie was only in Chinese, with no subtitles, and didn't seem remotely interesting as I watched a few minutes of it. Well for those who deem I never take time to relax, I had no choice but to do so as there really was put much else to do on the ...

        Xie Lin Hua's 12th Birthday

It was a double celebration -  for Xie Lin Hua's birthday today, and her grandfather's tomorrow. Mama told me quite clearly, "come here tomorrow". They are all speaking a little English and it's great to see their confidence growing. We love these family celebrations. Each dish is cooked on their single gas burner, which, with a meal this size, takes some time. But it's worth the wait. Prawns ...
