Although we dreamt and planned a lot for this journey, we never thought about the last part.
Waiting between our last two planes, we still have one question:How do you end such an overwhelming adventure before getting back to the real world of bills, plumbing problems and work but also friends, family, weekends and summerbars? It is 5:38 pm Italy time... how do I know this???... because our plane has actually landed in Italy. It's a miracle!!! The drive from our hotel is 40 minutes. Hope the remaining portion of the trip will go safely and smoothly. Ah I can't wait for a warm shower and a nice bed to tuck myself into!

    Hasta pronto!

I walked down the stairs to the tarmac and squeezed into a small, standing-room-only spot on the middle bus. It seemed as though the doors to the bus would never close. Once closed, the bus began a rather circuitous trip to a terminal entry point. Once inside, with my carry-on in tow, I ran to the ...

... so much together on our anniversary trip -- brilliant silver memories, worth their weight in gold. And, as often happens when traveling, we have grown to appreciate what we have built together in Canada. We have missed our children, our dog, our family and friends (in no particular order). Yes, Roo, it is time to go home :) ps: You know you are waiting for a YVR flight when there is a woman in the waiting area doing ...
