Yesterday Avery and I took a bus to the nearby Chatsworth mansion, home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. It is extremely ritzy and has roughly one million rooms and had just been decorated for the Christmas season. Many dukes have come and gone and made changes to the house and ...

Walking back to the city today for the walk around the castle. It was not all that impressive. It is more of a house on a hill. Was a nice walk through. ... the shops (there always seems to be something that we need and/or want :P) but I did manage to find a dress for our upcoming tutor dinner that week :) Consequently we didn't arrive at Newstead Abbey until approximately 4pm only to find that we had just missed the last admission into the house and we also found out that the last bus back home came in 40 minutes (public transport on a Sunday is just as infrequent over here :P).
