... tour there, and of course the Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer tour. And a food tour.

Annoyingly, just noticed the Brazilian Grand Prix is on but it's on the day I fly out to Colombia.... Schoolboy error #1 :( :(

On the 15th I fly up to see Simon for a 2 week 'living like a local / magical mystery once in a lifetime experience'....
Unless I go back again before they come back to the UK next year!

... to collect my baggage clear customs and then catch my connecting flight by walking from terminal 3 to removal 2 and then dump my stuff at the TAM connections desk all in 50 minutes .... The good news is I'm now in a nice little bar in terminal 3 having kissed the wife goodbye with a pint of Guinness a Spanish and Portuguese phrase book trying to work out how you say "I've missed my flight how do I get to Rio now" I'm sure it will be ...

3:30 got up 4:15 am leave on bus 5 am at Rome airport - flight cancelled 11 am finally found out we are taking a bus to Naples (where we came from the day before) to catch a flight to London. Staying overnight in London. Nonstop to RDU tomorrow -hopefully Arrived in Naples at 3 pm after a 3 hour bus ride Flight took off for London at 6:40. Arrived in London at 8:20 London time (9:20 Italy time) After customs, getting our bags and ...

... 1 hour I have been scanning the horizon for the sight of the runway. Nothing apart from small lights from boats. Eventually, I spot the bright lights of Dubai City and an aircraft in front.....phew. Then without warning we turn back towards the sea......have we been hi-jacked? At least we will go in comfort. Then something looking like the Hook Road Car park appears and were a making for it! All is well as we make a smooth landing and head for Gate ...
