York Take Two
What a difference a day makes. Overcast but dry so we decided to take on York once more and it was well worth the effort. Tried a different park and ride bus route today which dropped us at a great place to start our day. A short stroll along the wall with the Minster in the background didn't cause Kim too much grief so we ventured on over the River Ouse to the gardens of the York Museum where we saw plenty of squirrels who were more than happy ...
Vikings, Not Hiking
... as being an easy drive away from York, we would probably just stay at one of the many B&Bs in or around York. It would seem everyone is looking forward to Christmas as the light shows on homes and businesses is quite spectacular.
Time to do our homework now for our return visit over the coming days. Also time to stock up tomorrow on Christmas essentials. A quick check of the weather and it looks like we won't be needing the snow shovel after all!

From New York to Old York
... the eighteenth century!! However, my favorite part of the entire Museum had to be the portion on the "swinging sixties"-- it had a fashion section, starring a personal fav Twiggy, as well as great quotes from the likes of John Lennon, Andy Warhol, and John F. Kennedy.

Sonntagabend und ich sitze zufrieden in meinem kleinen aber feinen Zimmer:-)
Warum zufrieden? Ich habe heute an meinem ersten Ruderrennen teilgenommen und es ist gut gelaufen.
Wir haben die letzte Woche ordentlich trainiert und waren endlich auch mal in Startbesetzung auf dem Wasser. So konnten wir uns halbwegs als Team einstellen. Lief auch ganz gut. Gestern Abend gabs dann für die ganze Crew eine Mega Portion Pasta:-)
Tja, und heute morgen um 7 gings dann gut ...
