There are very few people that I have gone into specifics with; in fact I don't think my travel partner even knows the full extent of my ambitions. To be honest, most people don't have the patience to listen. In any case, I will now list as fully as I can the plan as it currently stands before me:
Fly to Kathmandu via a 7 hour wait in a duty free room in Abu Dhabi.
Spend a week in a hotel in the centre of Kathmandu to shake the ...
... to Cote Ghyll Caravan site , he had to go and borrow a hose off a neighbour as he had forgotten to fill my water tank. What did he think would happen...I would get it myself? Who does he think he is...his job is to look after me, not the other way round!!!
He also had trouble keeping me warm overnight... he couldn't understand how to turn on the ...
... s Wall, so I didn’t stay out late, but returned to the yacht for a quiet evening of Xbox and a movie in the Upper Salon.
The next morning we visited the Capt. James Cook museum and walking tour. I liked this little village and I could completely understand why so many Brits took their holiday here. We flew out around 4:30 PM to visit the Warwick Castle Dungeon Dinner at Tour at night.
Yes, this place really is called Fryup! We, quite by chance, stumbled upon this fine barn conversion in an isolated spot in the North Yorkshire Moors. It was a 15 minute drive to the nearest shop - perfect. The moors are dotted with public footpaths and bridleways and there were a variety of walks from the front door. It was great in April but I wouldn't have liked to contend with the narrow, steep and winding roads in frosty conditions.
Staithes, England, United Kingdom latestarterWhitby was extremely busy on a Bank Holiday. The weather, however, was perfect. There was mist over the moors as we approached the coast. We climbed the 199 steps to the abbey and St Mary's Church. It was so misty I could not see the harbour below. It was easy to see why Bram Stoker was inspired by St Mary's ...
Staithes, England, United Kingdom latestarterThe drive from London was nice. The first part was fairly uneventful as \tsugumi slept in the back of the van and I chatted with my dad and Lucy. As we came in to the North it was very nice though and the memories of my childhood started coming back. We took the long way round over and under the smallest little roads and through various tiny villages until we arrived in Grosmont a small village about a mile from where I lived until I was 8. Lucy (my dad's ...
Grosmont, United Kingdom barnisGot invited on a random roadtrip up north with my lifelong best mate and her family. Aside from having to deal with her annoying grandmother, it was absolutely gorgeous. Didnt have a camera at the time but wish I did, there were hills and picturesque houses everywhere!
