Strand Road Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland, +353-1)-286-0668-
Our last destination is to visit Powerscourt Gardens. Reminiscent of grand European palace gardens like Versailles, it is better than any we've seen in Ireland and deserves its 3 star rating. The blooms were fading, but there were no crowds and we strolled through North American forests, Japanese styled gardens, walled with formal flower beds, and a pet cemetery. The Italian statuary, acres of steps and grass set with the backscape of the Wicklow Mountains makes it a favorite for movie sets l...
Bray, Ireland thedarlings... what we had imagined it would be and some has been tough, there is still so much good to see here and we will have to try and see as much of it as we can before we leave!
Max is now naturally jealous of what I got to see and do while he was working, that we will probably have to go back there on another day off now and do it again so that he can experience it all too! Not that I blame him, my photos are pretty bloody good.....:)
... a cab. RAPIDO RAPIDO! we rode the hour and a half long taxi ride to the airport, want to guess how much it cost us? guess... 200 freaking dollars! yes, Kallie's first taxi ride was a whopper of one. but the good news is, we made our flight!!--barely! so, after a long and scary and turbulent plane ride, we made it to Howth, Ireland. It's fantastic, picture what you think of when you see Ireland in a movie, yes its that gorgeous! The people are wonderful! The English is relieving ...
Howth, County Dublin, Ireland katyandkallie... Hills Chiuaua. Man alive, it was preeetty awesome. But there was a huge selection of candy available to buy per weight and the other Arcadia girl, Katie, and myself felt like 5 year olds again and really enjoyed the candy selection. So that was fun. When we returned back to the house, we took the 8 year old and her 6 year old "boyfriend" neighbor on a walk to town. Katie and I wanted to look at the town while we were there and see what it was like, but ...

Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland lnrac... Ireland to see Derry (the town of Bloody Sunday) and the Giant's Causeway which was an amazing spit of land that is hard to describe in words besides a geological phenomenon. I have been to the nice sea towns around Dublin such as Malahide where there is a castle and now have concerts at, Portmonach, Howth, Dun Loghaire (pronounced Dun Leary) and recently went to Newgrange, a neolithic tomb that predates the pyramids and a Norman castle in ...
Dublin, Ireland maw922... We leave from Dublin on Thursday so just chilling out right now. Typically Limerick are through to the All-Ireland hurling final for the first time in years, which will be played when we are somewhere in the Canadian wilderness. Maybe Bear watch hurling when they get bored of eating people.
Dublin, Ireland a_d_smith... of the city. Was great to catch him as he has been over here for 2 or 3 years now and was staying with some Irish people. Just a laugh chatting to them and soon enough the house party was underway. Great party except that where we were sleeping was the lounge room and that was where the party was. Didn't get to sleep until bout 5 or 6 in the morning of st pattys day. It snowed by the way!!! I ended ...
Dublin, Ireland paulytobin... wasn't matched inside. The grounds and garden were non-existent. The decor lacked charm and taste and was shabby, but the beds were comfortable and the food good. The owner, Christine was helpful and friendly. Still it was more expensive and we could have done better. We had a good dinner at the Martello Bar and wandered up the seafront. Even given the fact that it was out of season, Bray has seen better days!
