... that much for the tickets to begin with! To chew through time we went into the cafe in the lobby and had a coffee. We got chatting to a nice English lady who had the same idea of passing time while waiting as well. We had a lovely soup for lunch in the cafe before heading to the bus. Brecon Beacons Day Walk
... better condition than the one we used on the way up. Despite a brief pause in the rain, it's coming down even harder when we get back to the road. The Mountain Rescue have assembled here in force - it's just an exercise at the moment, but who's to say they won't be needed for real before the day is out?

The beaches and cliffs of Gower
... beaches, dunes, nature reserve through saltwater marsh, woodland trails and cliff tops. I learned that gorse blossoms smell like coconut! (Why are they still in bloom at the end of October?) We saw kestrels (they can hover like helicopters), choughs (pronounced "chuff," they are like crows but with red beaks and feet) and even wild ponies.

Not a good start...
... the M4. Punishment for leaving Wales, perhaps? Whatever the reason, we found ourselves stuck in traffic for the best part of 40 minutes.
One upshot of the congestion was that we saw possibly the most hideous/hilarious car conceivable.
