Last night, I was able to rest up better than the night before so I'm ready to rock with getting work done.

I woke up in Colorado this morning! It's pretty much what I expected of grassy plains and farmland but am wondering if I'll get to see part of the Rockies on today's journey? That would be cool.

The faceless building didn't look like much but we walked into a bizarre gift shop adorned with every type of stuffed animal and filled with every imaginable type of junk to buy.

We were greeted by a squashed potato of a man who said if we wanted to get our cameras and pay nine dollars each it was time to feed the five-legged cow.

A few people en route who have listened to our plans to drive back to New York have all offered similar remarks about Kansas. Basically that it is flat and boring.

Well, today we left Boonville for Oakley. Kansas, well it's Kansas. Flattest land we've ever seen. The highlight of the trip was the wind turbines along I-70. It turned out to be the largest wind farm in Kansas, Smoky Hills Wind Farm. There were wind turbines everywhere. I've included a few pics we took today for your enjoyment and amusement. So far, this isn't such an interesting travel pod. After 5 weeks, maybe we'll get better at it. Looking forward to the Rockies and ...
