... and spent an hour at the Osage Animal clinic (which is a wonderful clinic...love them...they didn't gauge us for being out-of-towners with a weekend emergency!). Anna now has a diagnosis, "anterior uveitis". We think it happened when she hit her eye on the interior of the car when we had to slam on the brakes. Antibiotics and pain killers are the treatment. Oh by the ...

... are great hikers! We also spent an hour at the after hours animal hospital with our million-dollar puppy (Anna). Something is going on with her eye. Not sure if she injured it or has an object in it... Have meds and may need to see Tippy's vet in Litchfield. Note to ourselves, from 435 out of KC, take Hwy 50 all the way to Hwy 5. Nice wide, smooth road!! We found a really nice campsite, lakeside, at LOTO State Park (site 162). The park is really beautiful, leaves are just changing, park staff super nice (especially Pearl :) ). We decided we really like the name Pearl...would like a grand- daughter to be named Pearl. If we don't have any takers, that's what we'll name our next dog! Here are some of our favorite photos from ...

Lake of the Ozarks State Park was almost deserted today – quite a change from the busy shops and restaurants I drove past on Business 54 to get there.   It is the largest state park in Missouri and has 85 miles of shoreline.  The trails, beaches, and campgrounds are spread around several fingers of the lake and I explored both the east ...
