We camped in the city park at Hermann, which was pretty but also pretty damn noisy since it was next to a highway that likes trucks. Another kind of not sleeping nighttime situation. There was also a dead armadillo in the stream below our tent; but at least it died quietly and we'd never seen an armadillo in real life before, so that's something.
