Apparently Stage 1 of the Tour kicks off today in York and the riders will see a giant swath of West and North Yorkshire. I have to admit the main focus for us what the preparation for the next day and the all important climb up Holme Moss in Stage 2. ... on a cloud. I visited the Weatherspoon Hotel...it used to be a huge ballroom...very impressive and great pints of beer from local breweries....also went to their church...again....beautiful...and they had an afternoon tea happening in the church...beautiful stain glassed windows...Nikki was thrilled to find chestnuts in the park...we got heaps before the squirrels got them. Tomorrow we head for the Lakes District...then Paris. Till next time. ...
