Welp! Travel with today's airline industry means nothing is ever on time. The flight coming from NYC to SYR is delayed. That means we are delayed. Katie and I decided to head down to NYC a night early for this very reason. There is a lot less risk this way -- plus I think we can find something to do while we are in the city. Nothing like waiting until the last second to pack.  One night in NYC and two weeks in Australia.  In NYC we're going to head into the city to have dinner with a friend, then back to the hotel.  We're not leaving super early from JFK, but its early enough that it's going to be hard to get rest.  The expectation level for this trip has been interesting.  On my previous trips to Europe ...

The neighborhood closest to the school was pretty typical of college housing. Large, old homes converted into two homes that were rented out to students. The houses were in varying degrees of disrepair, but they all had character. The wrap-around porches, the single-paned windows with plastic covering to help keep the ...

After traveling 24,000 miles we're back visiting Central New York at a spectacular time of year. The deciduous trees are in full regalia and the air is crisp and clean. High temps in the day are in the upper 60s and low 70s, while the ...
