My second visit to Hong Kong.

I stayed at our crew hotel and took a walk downtown. Other than that it was work, work, work. Next stop will be Guangzhou.

Hong Kong..the city of Dim Sum...YUM!

Going from Vietnam to Hong Kong was a big switch. At times it felt like New York City and at times it felt like a small city in the heart of China rather then a large urban city. We got into Hong Kong at 7 am by waking up to the obnoxiously loud cruise captain replaying a recording asking all passengers to leave the ship. Seriously...7 am?! Thanks …

    Magnificent

    from

I cannot stress how much I enjoyed my stay at the Park Lane. First of all, I love Hong Kong and have always has a tremendous time every time I have visited. Causeway Bay is probably my favorite neighborhood because it all seems so alive all the time (though if I were to live in Hong Kong, I would probably live in another neighborhood, but that is another matter altogether). My stay at the Park Lane was perfect. If you like Causeway Bay, the location is very very central to everything. It's literally about 3 or 4 blocks from the MTR station. I had reserved and paid for a "city-view" room online at the lowest price I could find, but when I checked in, they said that they could offer me a "harbor view" (costlier) room for no extra charge. The view from this room was so good. It's a view of Victoria Park, which is pretty, and part of Victoria Harbor. But, at night time, just something about all the city buildings in the background (North Point?) is just indescribable (even though the buildings you will be looking at are not the most famous in the Hong Kong skyline - the overall effect is wonderful). Also, I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but the muzak, that is, the hotel music that plays on their TV's when you turn to a hotel "in-house" (advertisement) channel is so so good. Very nice to listen to and very soothing. Turn off the lights, pull a chair up to the window, sit back, have a drink and enjoy the view that I hope will never change. It's a wonderful hotel and Hong Kong is a wonderful city.

Nice place, but a problem with noise

I am writing this from the lobby of the Park Lane, on the last day of a 4 day stay. I agree with the other reviews that this is a quality hotel. I have been on the 23rd floor, which is recently remodeled. The room is spacious and comfortable. The bed, linens, pillows excellent and very comfortable. The AC system is better than most, and quiet. The staff is friendly.

    Superbly appointed!

Dropped into Hong Kong and alighted at the Park Lane Hotel adjacent to Victoria Park. Splended atmosphere in the tradition of fine hotels. Impressive.

Thoroughly enjoyed the property itself, especially the proximity to the park, where the morning Tai Ji practitioners are busy improving their forms.

Loved the hotel, especially the fact that a contemporary and small market is right around the corner with virtually everything you forgot to bring or anything you need.

    Superb Hotel!

Stayed 5 days for a conference. Initially disappointed because it was not rated as 5 star BUT the service and quality definitely exceeded 5 stars.

Great rooftop restaurant. Lunch buffet wasexcellent. Buffet breakfast was also very good.

    Courteous staff.

    Good location.

Certainly better than many 5 star hotels I have stayed.

    Strongly recommended!

    Hong Kong Heaven

We stayed at the Park Lane as part of our honeymoon in October 2004. The hotel was lovely - from the minute we walked in we were greeted with friendly, courteous staff who couldn't do enough to help us.

    Great hotel with great views

    from

I stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of November 2004 and had a great time. The location was convenient, very close to the MTR. The (Superior) room was spacious, facilities good, bed comfortable and lovely views of the park and harbour. The breakfast buffet was pretty good with lots of choice. I would definitely stay at the Park Lane again.

    Great Location, great hotel

    from

I stayed in the Park Lane on a short trip last year and all my expectations were met. Great location due to its proximity to shops (department stores and street shops) and numerous MTR stations. If you're lucky you'll get a room facing Victoria Park (you see the Harbour as well). The staff and service were great and I enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet. I'm very partial to staying in Causeway Bay because I used to live there several years ago and know the place very well. However, I think a first timer would enjoy this neighborhood as well. Lots of activity, as well as great places to shop and to eat.

Great hotel in a great location.

    from

Great hotel! Wouldn't hesistate in recommending it. We booked a deluxe harbour view room which had the most amazing views over the park and Hong Kong harbour. Great to wake up to. The room itself was spacious, clean and had comfy beds. Marble bathroom, large wardrobe and plenty of storage space. Air con was quiet and overall we spent a very peaceful 5 nights here. View from restaurant was impressive at night although the drinks were a bit pricey. The bar downstairs had a happy hour though! Location couldn't be faulted. The MTR was just round the corner, the hotel is right in the heart of the shopping district, and Victoria Park is opposite the hotel if you want to get away from the bustle. Enjoy!

    Great Location!

I have just recently stayed in this hotel for 4 nights during August 2004. It is about an hour from the airport by road, with great views of Kowloon and Hong Kong Island during the journey.
