We even had an opportunity to blow an alpine horn, but opted to just pose with it, since everyone who tries to make the horn sound uses the same mouthpiece, which is just way too many germs for us. Yuck! Before we knew it, we had to load back into the cable car to head back down to meet the train which would return us to the parking lot ...

The weather was cold and rainy the day I arrived, but the next day was absolutely fantastic and why I decided to come back to Nice at all. (I visited Nice for the first time more than 10 years ago for a high school trip) The addage that Nice is nice is an understatement when the weather is good. It is ...

... Lake Luzern, back to the town and another large lake nearby. We walked back to the station and took a joy ride on another cog railway to the town of Goldau. It did not look pedestrian friendly by the station so we stayed on the railway back to the top where we changed trains for our final descent to Vitznau, home for the night. We did eat a lunch of bread and cheese on the way back up to Rigi. The railway to Vitznau was pretty full so we went to the front ca r ...
