... on the ground. I will let the photos speak for themselves but we had a lot of fun!
We then shopped for a few hours in the old city of Lucerne and most of our tour group went to a traditional Swiss restaurant where we had cheese fondue etc! Oh!....and Mitch performed on stage with a traditional trumpet and then Tim tried to yodel. Funny, yes. At least he got a free beer which is pretty awesome considering the hideous cost of everything here!! Off to Italy ...
Got up today to go on a gondola ride up the mountain. I'd been looking forward to this since I booked it. We got on small 4 person gondolas and headed halfway up the mountain, then got on a big standing gondola that we all got squished into. Now that Europe has switched over to standard time, the sun is out til 8pm - a bit strange but nice as it pretty much feels like early summer with the T-shirt weather. So that's Lucerne in an afternoon. Unless you're thinking of doing daytrips to nearby Pilatus or Titlus, one day is probably good, and you'll also have time for a boat ride (free I'm told if you have a Swiss pass).
