... This proved difficult - there were no seats!! Joe suggested we just pick an unused platform downstairs - number 9 he suggested - and go down and sit for a while to take the pack load off. I said let's just keep walking there must be seats somewhere. Right down the end we found a bench/sculpture thing that other people were sitting on. It did not look pedestrian friendly by the station so we stayed on the railway back to the top where we changed trains for our final descent to Vitznau, home for the night. We did eat a lunch of bread and cheese on the way back up to Rigi. The railway to Vitznau was pretty full so we went to the front ca r ...

... s free for him as a tour guide) and does beat my time. We both lose to a student who flashes by at 51 kpm. That's moving. We take another gondola down to Luzern, but this time just the two of us. We swing lazily down the hill, looking down on the approaching city - at pools, bell cows, and fire wood. A most fantastic approach into any place. It's a hot day in Switzerland - 34 degrees celsius, so by the time we break for lunch we're ready for a break from the ...
