... Sausalito we ventured to an area called Presidio; a business area, golf course and home of the Walt Disney museum (which we didn't have chance to check out unfortunately). We thought we would be able to see some of the tall redwoods at Presidio so we took a lovely short hike through the forest but found no redwoods. We will definitely have to come back to San Francisco to venture to the Muir Woods. Our last stop ...

Arrived at Los Angeles airport at 6am, a swift pass through customs and then a short stop at the food court to rehydrate. Transferred to our terminal gate and finally boarded our flight to San Francisco 45 minutes late. The day is a bit hazy after not getting any amount of decent sleep on the flight from Australia so once we got to Vanessa's house it was time for a ...

... bright warm sunshine we could see the fog cascading over the hills to the side like a waterfall. We entered San Francisco in a familiar blanket of fog, cloud and drizzle!

We drove through San Francisco which included navigating Divisadero Street and attempting to stop the car rolling backwards on the hills. Good hill start practice if you ever need it. We got to the quirky Queen Anne Hotel in good time to ...

... so they couldn't get out, then I tried to get out and there were about 200 protesters outside the doors so I had to sit and wait to be let out. Not the most fun I've had. We took the very touristy mode of transport home in what they call cable car but it was really a tram with no sides but fun all the same.
The next morning was Yosemite time, a long drive but we jumped straight in the pool when we got there. The hotel was really nice, in the middle of the ...
