Bristol, England, United Kingdom jclingham... She really is a star (as in friend and not movie star) and I have to say is my most reliable friend over in the USA.
Anyway, last night I stayed over at my dear friend Dawn's house, since she was taking me to the airport early this morning. (I slept on the sofa cushions on the living room floor in case you ask). The flight was at 6:45am, and I had to be at Bristol airport for 5am (who travels that early?). So I was up at 4am. Dawn stayed in her pj's since she was only dropping me ...

Tetbury, England, United Kingdom corny15... a couple of jobs, ski resort jobs, retail.. something a bit different to what I do. I did also apply for some computer jobs as well just to see how I go.. As yet nothing!! I'm just wondering if they disregard me because I haven't got my national insurance no yet.. ah well it should be here soon. I'm a bit miffed actually because some of the applications took a bit of time to do and they don't even have the curtesy to even acknowledge your application.
<br ...
Trowbridge, England, United Kingdom sares12... about a wine bar in Trowbridge we might like to visit before getting on the train to Bath cause we were a little early. No problem, so another pint and then we realised we had to rush for the train.. we had to run over the connecting bridge at the train station and I distinctly remember my cousin yelling at me 'I thought you were the fit one!!' lol not after two pints of cider I'm not, knowing my luck I'd fall down the stairs ...
Bath, England, United Kingdom sares12... so funny, tourists were looking at us all so strange in our gowns. It was all a bit posh really... but nice. I was presented with my prize (!!)... £100, woohoo! And we all ...
Bath, United Kingdom sianeth... all the information and history about the Baths. Even though I'm not a very good tourist and don't really like sightseeing etc it was pretty cool, the Baths are about 93degrees naturally. Some of the underground Baths absolutely reeked! It was disgusting. After we had finished in there we went outside and it started snowing just out of nowhere. We went into a nearby pub just to get out of the cold weather and to have a drink and keep ...
Bath, England, United Kingdom kbcon2... they required everyone to meet by 8:30am for their 8:45am departure to the English countryside. Running, but still awestruck at the site of the beautiful town of Bath, we made our way towards the glass shop near the traffic island on Manvers Street, our meeting point for Mad Max Tours. With the River Avon running through and alongside it, the glorious town of Bath is set upon 3 majestic hills. The famous Bath Abbey welcomes ...
Bath, United Kingdom northwesthook... in the suburbs of Bath. The rain makes everything so clean and shiny, and both the light from the lamp posts in the streets, and the lights coming from inside the buildings make the atmosphere magical. We really don't want to leave. We wish we could have spent the night here !!! The buildings are made of stone, and the bridge in the village adds more beauty to the village itself. Everything here is just what I was dreaming of !!! It is very late at night ...
Bath, England, United Kingdom greekcypriotAs I was in this part of the world I decided I should go to Stonehenge, seeing as I might regret it if i didn't. I this morning I got on the tour bus and off we went. To tell you the truth I wasn't expecting much, but you never know till you try, right? The "highways" in England are quite scenic, albeit twisty and slow. The roundabouts (traffic circles in place of lights or overpasses) work much ...
